The 2012 Quebec student strike was a student strike first declared in Quebec on February 13, 2012 by Laval University social science students, in order to protest, and counter, a $1,625 tuition hike enacted by Jean Charest, then-Prime minister of Quebec, with the strike ultimately ousting him as Prime Minister on September 4, 2012 and the strike being over on September 7, 2012.
The holographic program Tuition Crisis followed closely the events leading up to the March 22nd, 2012 mega-protest held in Montreal pertaining to the PHYSUM and the FAÉCUM, with over 312,000 students on strike on that day. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Rode the 300", "The Defector (TSF)")
Super Mario Br'Hausse was loosely based on the strike. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Chronicles of Taladu")
