Governor-General Indra Kartini Sutomo and her husband are assassinated, and colony council members and their families are imprisoned, while their children are exiled to the Hamengkubuwono Plains on the other side of the planet. 17 out of the 25 children survive the weeks-long ordeal. USS Avenger and other Starfleet vessels (including the USS Thermopylae) aid in relief efforts and restoring the legitimate Yogyakarta Baru government.
