Events
- The USS Hathaway is decommissioned. (TNG: "Peak Performance"; Star Trek: USS Hathaway)
- Scott Fack and Cathal O'Toole return to the USS Artemis from a conference to report strange goings-on. The Artemis attempts to return to Federation territory but its warp coils were sabotaged, allowing a sneak-attack by a then-unknown assailant, killing nearly 80% of the Artemis crew. John Sill, Anne Cobry and Scott Fack are amongst the survivors, escaping in escape pods. As they flee, it appears the Artemis explodes. - Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the USS Enterprise-D crew uncover and quell an alien conspiracy attempting to take control of Starfleet. (TNG: "Conspiracy")
