"A Visit to the Physical Science Chief's Office" is a fan-fiction vignette/short story set in the continuity of Star Trek: Avenger.
It is told in the second person. USS Avenger's chief of physical sciences (a department of the Sciences division) is having an orientation meeting with a new officer, Caitlin Rutherford, and talks about his job and his office. Set in 2293.
"Sciences Inspection", set several years later, is similar in tone but covers the entire division.
