Acclamator class

Acclamator-class starships are massive Federation Starfleet carriers used by the Imperial Starfleet Military. They were brought into service in early 2385. (Star Trek: Unity)

The Acclamator class is explicitly designed to operate as a mobile base for small attack craft of the Federation. During wartime, the Acclamator employs its fighter arm to maintain local aerospace supremacy in protecting Federation battle forces wherever they may be. During peacetime, the vessel serves as the flagship of the Federation's search and rescue fleet, employing its numerous small craft to sweep vast areas of space with long-range sensors. The search and rescue fleet also assists stations, colonies and entire planets endangered by ecological, geological or astronomical disasters, as well as missions of exploration and emergency rescue.
