During the cousre of the construction a series of diplomatic mishaps causes the ambassador to request that a platoon from the 263rd be sent to help the ambassadorial detachment. When an incident, caused by a seperatist group with ties to the planetary government, seemingly causes the marine under Major Hof's command to open fire on protesters, who were armed. But the weapons carried by the group disappear shortly after the incident and the ambassadorial compound is all but destroyed in an attempt to wipe out the Federation contingent. While a small contingent fight to stay alive, the Black Hawk herself is under attack and being blocked in rescuing those on the planet. |

Adonis and Aphrodite is a story set in aboard the USS Black Hawk under the command of Admiral Jeffery Higdon. The story revolves around the 263rd Marine Strike Group, the USS Black Hawk's embarked Marine Detachment, and particularly its commanding officer, Major William Hof.

Synopsis
