Alex Noll Brine is the first officer aboard the Miranda-class Unreliable, having joined the ship upon it's relaunch in 2364 after assisting in the repairs. (The Unreliable's Light)

Early Life[]

Alex Brine was born in 2338.

Sometime in the late 2340s, Alex had met Vaggie Illario.

In 2358, Alex unwillingly took part in a ritual which resulted in the loss of his eyes, instead of gaining an ocular implant, Alex instead went with a blindfold and began to develop extrasensory perception in order to counteract this. ("Convergencies")

In early 2364, he assisted Breezie McKormic in helping repair the Unreliable and helped her gather a crew. Once the repairs were complete, he offered her the Captain's chair and began his service as first officer. ("Launching Day")

Career[]

2364[]

After the battle against the Terran Empire, he and the rest of his crew were officiated as allies of Starfleet. ("Mirror Leakage")

Alex often took command of the ship when Breezie was unable to, such as when she went on an away mission to the NX-02, during the evacuation of Starbase 523 or when she and much of the crew went to the USS Lynimick. ("Parasitic Relic")

2365[]

Alex was a part of the away team that went down to the unknown planet along with much of the crew. He helped with the lie that the away team arrived by boat. He tried to gather information about the planet, but was only answered by violence due to the nonhuman members of the crew. He assisted with the evacutation while Breezie & the EMH were away, but not without a few wounds that were healed up by the locals. Later on, he helped assist Devoid by heading to the bridge of the USS Kolkata to restore power & transmit the logs to the Unreliable. ("Fantasy Planet")

Later that year, he took command of the Unreliable while Breezie was on an away mission to the Rainbow Factory. He helped with recovering the USS Andromeda after suggesting to find a ship which has Overloader Equipment, but remained aboard the Unreliable. He also helped during the battle against the factory, helping recover the shuttle the away team took to get to the factory. ("Rainbow Factory")

During the incident with the Hiss, Alex prevented the collision with the USS Phoenix-X during their arrival to the alternate timeline by giving the order to transfer power from impulse engines to aft thrusters. Alex mainly stayed aboard the Unreliable, having helped prepare. He dectected a 'good few cubic metres' of chronitons and sent a shuttle to the Phoenix-X containing Wally & the EMH. Alex was also responsible for finding and stopping the source of mysterious voices that began haunting the crews of both ships once they got near the Lost Void Gateway by pushing the sensors of the Unreliable to 150% of its limit, whilst this didn't get an exact result, it did help generate a route which the crews could use to guide themselves to the Hiss. ("Convergencies")
