The Alexander Mackenzie (Aventeur III) was an Aventeur-class mission spacecraft in WASA (and later ISA) service during the early- to mid-21st century. Nomenclature[]
The ship was named after Alexander Mackenzie (explorer) (1764-1820), a Scottish explorer known for accomplishing the first east to west exploration of North America north of Mexico in 1793, predating the Lewis and Clark Expedition by 12 years.
