Alpha Red was the code name for an experimental biogenic weapon under development by the Federation during the Dominion War.
Alpha Red was a virus designed to target the Jem'Hadar genome. The weapon was never tested, as the war ended before it was ready and Federation President Min Zife had ethical objections to its use.

- The name "Alpha Red" seems to be a reference to a similarly named bioweapon developed in the New Jedi Order series of Star Wars Legends novels, designed to target those books' villains the Yuuzhan Vong.
