Amber Needleman

Starfleet career

Lieutenant junior grade Amber Needleman was a Starfleet officer in the late 24th century. She was a fighter pilot aboard the USS Winchester with the call sign "Stitches" .

Amber and Corey Rogers were selected by Starfleet to perform final testing on a new type of fighter. After the new fighters were certified for duty, they were assigned to the first ship to receive the new fighters, the Winchester. Her assigned fighter was NCC-77005. She received the call sign "Stitches" as a play on her last name. (USS Baldwin: "That Kind of Day")

It is not established who gave Amber her call sign.

In January of 2378, Amber, Corey, and flight team leader Johnathan Bucyrus engaged an unidentified vessel pursuing the Winchester. When the Winchester was subsequently boarded by a group of Jem'Hadar, Amber and Corey retreated to the USS Effingham and subsequently assisted in re-taking Winchester. In December of 2378, Amber was part of a team of fighters that engaged a vessel later identified as a prototype warbug with an enhanced polaron weapon. Before the launch, she engaged call signs with Anna Ingrum, who volunteered to join the team. (USS Baldwin: "Blackbird")
