Anastasia Volzhin was a female Malachorian geologist in Lyran Starfleet Intelligence service during the 25th century. She was stationed onboard the USS Antechrist during its maiden flight. (Star Trek: False Vacuum)
Pre-Starfleet life[]
Born in Vrauzon, she first enrolled in the Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy but flunked her way out after failing to hit the broad side of a barn at point-blank range with a MD-11 disruptor rifle. After her failure to make it to the stormtrooper corps (and hence Lyran Starfleet Security) she enrolled in university under orders, choosing to attend Quendelton State University. But as graduation time drew near, she chose to pursue her Doctor of Philosophy off-world, enrolling at Washington University in St. Louis and, after graduation, serving in Starfleet Intelligence.
The Antechrist[]
Originally assigned to investigate the asteroid impact site, Anastasia got into a quarrel with Chloe Galarza when she planned her luxury real estate project on Vrauzon. Because of this real estate project, she got into a catfight with Chloe, digging up some painful memories of her past at the Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy. Because of the complaint lodged at the Fair Business Lyran Agency for this real estate project, she was challenged to a duel by Carrie Quendelton, whereby Carrie's victory would mean that she would be charged with criminal negligence, and Anastasia's would mean that the charges would be dropped.
The duel was fought to hilarious effect: since neither combatant could aim, the duel dragged on for a long period, ending in a draw, as well as exhausted disruptor pistol batteries. Out of guilt for the duel, Anastasia left Lyran Starfleet of her own accord. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Asteroid Dusting")
Post-Starfleet life[]
She became a xenogeology professor at Quendelton State University shortly thereafter. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Thesis Dilemma")
