The Andobi Mountain Run was a four-seater soapbox car race held atop Mount Etienne, a mountain on Halii (gravity: 1.22G). It was the most famous soapbox car race in the galaxy. The RIS Bouteina kept an holographic program depicting the race. In that program, Relm, Zama, Larugo and Brianna Reiss entered as two separate teams in the holographic competition. (RIS Bouteina: "Varlamov Steak")

The Andobi Mountain Run holoprogram was the impetus of Reiss' passion for soapbox racing, prompting her to compete 13 years later in the Malachor Grand Prix. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Highly Illogical")

Format[]

The top four finishers of the previous edition were given free spots in the semifinals on a track that could safely accommodate four gravity racers. Late entrants could compete, but only if they ran a qualification race first—the four best finishers of the first round qualified for the semifinals.

In her first-round heat, Relm's great mass made the floor plates of her gravity racer collapse, causing accidents to another car, destroying it. Meanwhile, Brianna won her first-round heat by 3 seconds. (RIS Bouteina: "Varlamov Steak")

Background[]

This race is named after the fourth race in the Galactic Podracing Circuit of the video game Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer. The soapbox race was held under similar conditions to the pod race, i.e., on cold, mountainous terrain.
