The Aphrodite was a class of NASA (and later ISA) mission spacecraft in operation during the early and mid-21st century. They primarily served as "station ships" in post-Eugenics Wars efforts to redevelop "deep space" infrastructure in the Sol system.

The standard crew complement was 2, with a capacity for 8 residents (usually for turnovers, but also in order to provide emergency sanctuary). The estimated endurance of a crew deployment was only three months.

The first six vessels were named for respected gravitational physicists of the time, while the remainder were named after mythological entities associated with beauty. Stations were initially established at Earth's Lagrange points, and then orbiting Venus and within the system's main asteroid belt. Background (Delta Dynamics)[]

Primary inspiration for the Delta Dynamics' version of the Aphrodite class came from the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Neutr

l Zone", with additional inspiration from Timo Saloniemi's Hobbyist's Guide to the UFP Starfleet.
