The Archer-class scouts were a type of starship active in the mid-23rd century. (Star Trek: Vanguard novel: Harbinger)
The Archers were modeled along similar lines of the early 23rd century Paris-class cruisers but much smaller.
Designed for a crew of 14, only the commanding officer and executive officer had single-person accommodations. The remainder of the officers and crew used a three-shift "hot-bunking" arrangement.
