The Argolis Cluster is a region of that stretches across the Federation-Cardassian border that contains a protostar cluster, nebulae, six uninhabited star systems and the inhabited planet Tagra IV. (TNG: "True Q"; The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
The Dominion built the Argolis Array at the edge of the cluster allowing them to monitor the starship across five sectors. After the Federation discovered the arrays existence the USS Defiant was dispatched to destroy the array. The Defiant approached the array through the cluster, which was unexpected given the gravitational eddies in the cluster and destroy the array. (DS9: "Behind the Lines")
In late-2374, Starfleet Command learned the Dominion was attempting to establish stronger supply lines through Betazed to the Argolis Cluster and dispatched the Starfleet Seventh Fleet to intercept the Dominion forces. (DS9: "The Reckoning")
