A armed scout is type of scout classification in use by the Cardassian Union. Armed scouts were for use during wartime. Roughly similar with a heavy scout in terms of weapons and defenses they were much more manoeuvrable. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 2: Starships of the Cardassian Union)
