Atlanta is a large city located in the state of Georgia in the Earth nation-state the United States of America.

Maxwell Grandisson III, one of the leading members of a Terranocentric movement, was a resident of the city, at least through the early 23rd century. (TOS novel: The Final Reflection) Other residents of Atlanta included members of the McCoy family, including Thomas Jackson "T.J." McCoy (The Final Reflection), David McCoy (Star Trek V: The Final Frontier) and Leonard McCoy (Star Trek: The Original Series).

While baseball had died out as a national sport in the United States of America -- as well as an international sport -- in 2042, there was an attempt to revive it in the middle of the 23rd century.
