Aydin G. was a Starfleet officer as well as a member of the Maquis during the 24th century. (Dragon Ball Z vs. Star Trek: The Beginning of Infinity)

Aydins father was a war hero who won a fight against an Andromedan fleet with only 300 ships and his grandfather fought in the Earth-Kzin Wars.

While at Starfleet Academy Aydin would be taught by a Native American called Hawkeye. During his time at the Academy he would also meet the captain of the USS Saratoga and leave enough of an impression on the captain to have him assign Aydin to the Saratoga after the Academy.

In 2366, Aydin would help a Bajoran fugitive escape from the Cardassians and travel to the WYN cluster. Aydin's actions would directly lead him to leave the Saratoga.

Aydin would end up with the Maquis, where he would become the leader of a Maquis cell. Other members of his cell were former shipmates of Admiral Rene Michael and the crew of the USS Sartre. In 2370 he would use the Sartre in an attack on the Cardassians. The attack failed thanks to the intervention of Admiral Michael.

During the Dominion War Aydin prevented Dominion troops from killing a large number of civilians on a unnamed planet.

After the war Aydin was given command of the USS Gerentaika. While in command of the Gerentaika he would go to the defence of the space stations Sodom and Gomorra. He would transport over to Sodom where he assisted Madoka Michael and Karala Yagiyu in stopping the saboteur, Sarah Salomon.
