A battalion is a military unit that in size and organisation is between a company and a regiment.

Breen Confederacy[edit | edit source]

The Federation Marine Corps was comprised of 160 battalions divided amongst 40 regiments, which were further divided amongst 10 divisions. (Star Trek: Remington)

Klingon Defense Force[edit | edit source]

A Klingon Defense Force battalion is approximately 500 warriors commanded by a HoH (captain). (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)

Lyran Starfleet[edit | edit source]

A Lyran Starfleet battalion of ground forces was approximately 240 soldiers commanded by a commander. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Attack on the Laboratory")

Romulan Star Empire[edit | edit source]

A tresh'val is the Romulan equivalent to a battalion and was formed around a group of unsha'val (brigades) and was between 3,000 - 5,000 soldiers with a colonel in command. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)

Starfleet Ground Forces[edit | edit source]

A Starfleet Ground Forces battalion is between 200 and 2,000 Starfleet soldiers and is typically commanded by a captain or major. (LUG RPG: The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
