The Battle of Chudala was a Federation Alliance offensive against the Dominion held Chudala system during the Dominion War in 2375. (LUG RPG: The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
Following decrypted information provided by the Cardassian Elim Garak that revealed a weak spot in the Dominion's hold in the Kalandra sector, Starfleet Command sent the newly rebuilt Seventh Fleet to gain a foothold in the sector.
Admiral Valerie Umstead organised her forces around a strong core based on two wings of Galaxy-class starships and several destroyer wings. The Seventh smashed into the outer defense perimeter and crashed their way through with minimal losses. The Dominion forces were not expecting an attack and assisted Umstead by reploying a dozen Cardassian warships from the star system to escort a convoy. In an intense five hour battle the Seventh Fleet destroyed over eighty enemy ships and secured the system.
At the same time a task force of Klingon and Romulan ships destroyed the convoy and its escorts from the Chudula system, weakening the Dominion's hold on the sector.
