The Battle of Klach D'Kel Brakt was an engagement fought between the Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire in 2271 in the area of the Briar Patch (Klach D'Kel Brakt in tlhIngan Hol). It was a decisive victory for the Klingon forces led by Kor, which was partially won on the ground in melee combat. (DS9: "Blood Oath")
- The identification of Klach D'Kel Brakt with the Briar Patch was first made in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "The Augments". Stories which predate that episode may have differing portrayals of the region, thus altering the details of the battle.
