Battle of Tol Mara IV

The Battle of Tol Mara IV was a decisive Federation victory during the Federation-Cardassian War. During the battle, the Cardassian Sixth Order commanded by Gul Aamin Dalar suffered massive losses against the Federation Starfleet forces commanded by Vice Admiral Lucia Barnett. The Central Command placed all of the blame for the "humiliating" defeat on Dalar, though he continually maintained that he was sabotaged by someone within his own crew for unknown reasons. The rift this caused between Dalar and the Central Command eventually led to a chain of events that ended with Dalar and his family seeking political asylum in the Federation. (Star Trek: Remington)
