Benjamin Lafayette Sisko was a Starfleet officer who rose to prominence during his assignment as the commanding officer of the space station Deep Space 9 in the Bajor sector from 2369 to 2375. He gained a place in Bajoran religion when he discovered the Bajoran wormhole and was celebrated as the Emissary of the Prophets by the Bajoran people. He later played a pivotal role in the conflict with the Dominion. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

In 2374, he heard rumour Captain Daniel was a Changeling and almost revealed him, but decided that would be more of a detriment to the Dominion War rather a benefit. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X: "Homespun")
