Bloodwine (Klingonese: Iw Hlq) was a Klingon alcoholic beverage that was twice as potent as whiskey. It was known to be highly intoxicating, to the point few species other than Klingons could handle it. (VOY: "The Killing Game, Part II")
Relm's favorite beverage was bloodwine; due to Byzatium physiology, bloodwine acted like energy drinks on her. She even challenged a Klingon captain to a bloodwine drinking contest, and prevailed. (RIS Bouteina: "Marianela")
