The Bowsers were a Delta Quadrant species, found on a Nyrian biosphere vessel. (VOY: "Displaced")
A Subytt redshirt mentioned that a race that applied for Interstellar Concordium membership resembled the Bowsers a lot, because of their bodies, comprising a carapace and a sandstone-colored skin. Also, the Vulcans made the first contact with Bowsers in the 20th century, when their ship has crashed in Vulcan space. The Vulcans codenamed the sole survivor of the crash after the whole species. (RIS Bouteina: "Women's Dark Frontier")
Also, a Bowser noble was on vacation at Braden, alongside his child. The Subytt redshirt concluded that this Bowser was, in fact, THE Bowser the Vulcans (and later, the Federation) depicted in their artwork. (RIS Bouteina: "Easter Eggs")
A genetically-modified Bowser with Jean Charest's head was featured in the Super Mario Br'Hausse holographic program. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Chronicles of Taladu")
