Briggs was a Starfleet officer and Silver Blood aboard the USS Phoenix-X. He held the rank of Lieutenant, and worked in Operations from 2391 to 2404. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X)

History[]

A couple decades before the 2390s, Walter found Briggs in a biomimetic, gelatinous state, in a salvage where Walter became the first physical contact and copy-subject for Briggs' humanoid physical form. ("Face/On")

In 2393, Briggs developed a system that would improve all doors on the Phoenix-X, but before it could be launched, Lieutenant Commander Armond's diagnostic broke it and caused Briggs, Lieutenant Commander Veker and Lieutenant Whui to be temporarily trapped and submerged in water in Cetacean Ops. ("Cetacean Observations")

Later, Briggs supported radical systems reconfiguring between the Phoenix-X and the timeline-displaced Unreliable in storing and repurposing chroniton particles to use against the interdimensional entity known Hiss. ("Convergencies")

When Briggs decided to change his appearance, he recruited Doctor Lox to use his biomimetic research to perform the change on a surgical bed. Unfortunately, due to biomimetic feedback, Briggs' form inadvertently changed into that of Khan Noonien Singh. During a conflict at Starbase 55 with the Children of Khan on the stolen USS Vincennes, Briggs was offered a place with them as a figurehead, to which he turned down. His form was then reverted upon request, thanks to bio-mimetic gel from Doctor Xyrenia, which she forewarned as a trigger that could change him to Khan and back any injection. ("Face/On")

In 2400, Briggs was on the Bridge when the Phoenix-X was recruited by the VSV Yolanda to stop the USS Atlantis-R. He remarked that the Phoenix-X wouldn't be decommissioned for a few more centuries. ("Celestial Dynamics")
