History[]
In 2752, Carley was drunk at the Bolian bar on Starbase 001 when he began losing control and shouting at the thought of Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards shutting down and causing the end of the Federation. He was quickly held down by Lieutenant Rune Sith and sent away after calming down.
Later, Carley was on the away team from the USS Pollux to the USS Domtar where he opted to phaser Commander Samantha Halliwell when she nearly self-destructed the ship. ("New Beginnings")
When Starbase 001 was knocked into a pocket dimension, Sith arrested Carley when it was suspected someone was draining energy from the station's reactors. ("Alone")
