TTRPG streaming groups are collections of individuals that participate on a one-off or periodic basis in tabletop roleplaying games that are streamed to platforms such as Twitch , Mixer , YouTube , and others.

Enabling Technologies[]

Streamers typically use a broadcast media compositing tool to create visually compelling content, such as Open Broadcast Studio (OBS) or its highly customised Streamlabs version, XSplit and other similar tools. Higher end hardware toolsets are also available for those who can afford them. Compositing tools allow stream producers to "mix" various audio and video elements together to create a coherent whole which incorporates voice, music, static/dynamic overlay content and video content.

Popular Star Trek TTRPG streaming groups[]

  • Eric Campbell 's StreamPunks , who collectively produce Clear Skies. Many of the people participating in this stream are alumni of Geek and Sundry 's Shield of Tomorrow Star Trek Adventures game.
  • ELH Mk 1 (real name unknown) has run numerous of Star Trek Adventures games (Star Trek: Arcadia and Star Trek: Ophion are highly recommended by Star Trek Adventures fan communities, and they have produced many others) on their Twitch channel (archived on YouTube ).
  • The Heroes of Awesome group streams various roleplaying games, but includes a Star Trek Adventures called Constellation in their list of games.

Other Star Trek TTRPG streaming groups[]

  • Big Universe Games, led by Jemma Hooper, an Australian storyteller, game mistress, content producer and writer who runs two games with remote cast members dialling in from a variety of global locations via Zoom.

Other groups will be added over time.
