The Cavalry class of light destroyers were Earth (and later, Federation) starships commissioned in the mid-22nd century, with one variant operating up until 2193.
In the original (2151) class, standard crew complement was 9 officers and 75 crew. Endurance for ships of this class was two years. The first three variants were based upon either phase gun or torpedo systems, while the final operated with lasers as its primary weapon. Background (Delta Dynamics)[]
Primary inspiration for the Delta Dynamics' version of the Cavalry class and its variants came from Timo Saloniemi's Hobbyist's Guide to the UFP Starfleet, while the ship's design origin lies with FASA.
