Naturally gifted in languages, Cilla took an immediate interest in linguistics and comparative cultural studies

Starfleet Academy

At the Starfleet Academy, Cilla continued her linguistic and cultural studies, gravitating very early towards a specialization in Communications.

USS Lexington

First assigned to the USS Lexington as an ensign in 2263, the commanding officer at that time, Commodore Nogura, authorized her promotion to Lieutenant, junior grade, early 2265, citing her professionalism in her duties.

Family and personal life

Very close to her immediate family, Cilla has difficulty forming close attachments, tending to drive others away through her often abrasive and caustic demeanor.

Relationships

• Talana Zha'Thara-The Andorian science officer on board the Lexington and, at this time, the only one close enough to Cilla to be described as a friend and confidant.
• Terrence Lawford-Navigator on board the USS Lexington. Cilla finds Lawford physically attractive, but, because of her social insecurity and shyness, she continues to push him away. It remains to be seen whether Cilla can overcome her shyness or whether she will push Lawford to the point where he no longer finds her of interest.
