The Concordium class was a Federation class that was built to counter both the Hydran Shogun class and the multi-vector assault mode-capable Paladin class. Like its Hydran counterparts, it was equipped with MVAM and it had a high maximum evacuation capacity, with a MEC more than twice that of the Galaxy class, at 43,000. It was likely that this class was the result of a quantum reality where the Federation did engage in a MEC race against the Hydran Kingdom.
