History[]
Origins[]
Temper[]
Daniels was born on February 3, 3069. His first name was Richard, and he had a sister, Eleanor, who was a docent at the Temporal Museum on Lafa II. He and his sister were long-term descendants of Lili O'Day, Doug Beckett, Melissa Madden and Malcolm Reed. He was a generalist at the Temporal Integrity Commission, serving in the Human Unit, as he was mostly human.
Star Trek: New Voyages[]
In 2268, working under the alias Winston Daniels, he was a professor at Project Timepiece. While there, he discovered a gigantic version of the Guardian Of Forever. In an alternate timeline, the crew of the USS Farragut used this gateway to travel to 2254 to prevent the destruction of the USS Enterprise and restore the timeline.
After this, Daniels devoted himself to the study of time paradox. His research brought him to the attention of the 31st century branch of the Federation Department of Temporal Investigations who recruited him as an expert in pre-23rd century history. ("In Harm's Way")
Temporal incursions[]
In the mid 22nd century, Daniels posed as an officer aboard the NX-01 Enterprise and worked with Captain Jonathan Archer against efforts of timeline changes by the Suliban and Future Guy. (Star Trek: Enterprise)
In 2410, Daniels pretended to be an officer on the USS Phoenix-X, to warn Captain Oroku Seifer about a divergent timeline caused by Sayjan, involving the Xindi of the 21st century putting an end to the Federation. Unfortunately, by manipulating the triolic energy of a comet, the IKS B'Cnah was sent back to correct the timeline, instead of the Phoenix-X. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X: "The Xindi Paradox")
Desk job[]
In the 32nd century, Daniels revealed to Captain Michael Burnham his name was Daniels and that Kovich was his codename under a Red Directive. By then, he had amassed a quantity of historical artifacts in his office including a Benjamin Sisko's baseball, Geordie LaForge's visor and a bottle of Chateau Picard. (DIS: "Life, Itself")
