Demetrius Cooper

Demetrius "Coop" Cooper was a Federation Starfleet bridge specialist, engineer, and line officer in Federation Starfleet service during the late 23rd and early 24th centuries.

By 2306, Cooper had become commanding officer of the USS Potemkin (NCC-4517), successor vessel to a namesake ship destroyed in 2299. (Project Potemkin: "The Castaway")

Previous Starfleet career

Commander Cooper had been assigned to the Constitution-class heavy cruiser USS Potemkin (NCC-1711) in the late 2290s, serving as helm officer and then as executive officer. (Project Potemkin: "The Last Child", "The Hunt", "All in a Day's Work", "Destinies")

Cooper was at the bridge engineering station when Potemkin was attacked by three Romulan warbirds. He offered to stay with Captain Alec Grigory after the latter ordered all officers and crew to report to the escape pods. ("Destinies")

In "Destinies", Cooper was apparently second-in-command of Potemkin.
