Deneva

Deneva from orbit

Deneva (or Deneva Prime) was an M-class planet located in the Beta Quadrant. It was the third planet in the Kappa Fornacis system, which was 71.5 light-years from Sol. (Starfleet Medical Reference Manual, Star Trek: Star Charts) Deneva was colonized by Humans during the mid-22nd century.

Orion Press continuity asserts that the planet was colonized in 2167 and that it was relatively near Starbase 10. (Orion Press: "The Price of Peace", A Form of Redemption)

Major Elena Mendenhall Justice was born in Novaya Vladivostok, Deneva, c. 2218. (Tales of the Seventh Fleet)

Carter Winston was the representative for the Resources Corporation of Deneva at the Second Babel Conference ca. 2238. (TOS novel: The Final Reflection)

In 2266, the colony was overrun by an infestation of neural parasites. A large number of colonists were killed during the eight months before the infestation was cleared by the crew of the USS Enterprise. (TOS: "Operation -- Annihilate!")

Some children who were orphaned by the Iskandar IV disaster were placed in the Morehouse Home, an orphanage in Deneva's capital city, in April, 2293. (Star Trek: Avenger: "Nobody, Not Even the Rain, Has Such Small Hands")

Alexander Quint was born on Deneva in 2330. (Star Trek: Intrepid)

Jenna Carson, Susan Cassoday, and Sonya Fiehrer once camped out on Deneva. During the campout, the planet's weather modification system failed, causing it to rain heavily at their campsite during the entire campout. (USS Baldwin: "Like the Rain")
