April 2301: Andreas Kitabatu al-'Qalb is recruited by a DTI cell from 2371 to help interdict a nova weapon planted in the heart of Cardassia’s sun. After the mission is over, Andreas is made to forget certain facts, such as the location of Cardassia, the annexation (in 2328) of Bajor by the Cardassians as well as his discovery of other missions undertaken by the DTI. Janielle Potvin was a DTI agent planted in False Vacuum Squadron as a fighter pilot. She seized the Teenage Device from Rakata, which created vortices through which their targets could travel back to the time one of them was a sixteen-year-old, due to its potential danger. Per Federation regulations, DTI agents were to inspect any device suspected of being used for time travel before they could be approved, like the Temporal Slot Machine. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Scrap Yard Vegas")
