Marcella DiFalco (nicknamed Cella) was a Federation Starfleet non-commissioned officer -- later a commissioned officer -- of Italian descent, on active duty in at least the 23rd century.
- DiFalco's given name was not revealed in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Marcella is from the TOS novel: Ex Machina.
When the refit Enterprise was launched in 2273 to contact V'Ger, DiFalco was a chief petty officer serving as a relief navigator after Lieutenant Ilia was taken by the entity. (Star Trek: The Motion Picture)
DiFalco was given a field promotion to lieutenant junior grade a year later, after receiving a commendation for her actions during battle with a "resurrected" Gary Mitchell. (Orion Press: "Resurrected")
By 2281, DiFalco was a full lieutenant and a navigation officer on Enterprise on that ship's mission to find the Romulus Ascendant. (Orion Press: "Romulus Ascendant")
As of three years later, DiFalco had transferred to the USS Shenandoah where she was chief navigator. (Orion Press: "Return to Xantharus")
