Douglas Shepherd, III

Douglas Tancred Shepherd, III was a communications and line officer on duty in the 23rd century. In the mid-2260s, he was second officer and chief of communications on the USS Avenger. (Star Trek: Avenger: "Reaching Taurus")

Shepherd was the grandson of the starship commanding officer whose vessel carried Ambassador Emmanuel Tagore to historic meetings with the Klingon Empire. (TOS novel: The Final Reflection)
