"DownVall" is the second episode of The Unreliable's Light's Third Year. It consists of Chapters 45-51 of the original story. It's a pseudo-crossover with Hazbin Hotel, but set in an alternate 2380 for them.

Summary[]

After a transwarp accident, the Unreliable & crew are sent to the Pride Ring in Hell. The Vees soon notice the ship and Vox in paticular wants it for his own deeds. Not willing to give it up, an investigation and later a battle ensues because of his greed... With a former Starfleet officer perhaps being the person they need to help.

Trivia[]

  • Thanks to Vaggie Illario, this episode is the third to mention a member from TNG, that being Jean-Luc Picard himself.
  • This was initially an unseen adventure, but the events were too interesting for both writers (and the urge to make a good Hellaverse episode arrived) so it became an actual episode in the Third Year.
  • While only The Vees & Vaggie appear in DownVall, 4 other Hazbin characters are mentioned. Those being Lucifer, Charlie, Alastor & Angel Dust. The second and third don't get mentioned by name.
  • This is not canon to the actual Hazbin Hotel show, due to many factors including the time period, Vaggie not being a fallen angel & Angel Dust working independently among other things.
  • Johnathan Archer was considered to appear in this episode, but this never happened.
  • Despite debuting in the previous episode, this is the first time we see Tyson (in it's refit configuration) in action.
  • A few of the chapter titles are references/suggestions.

"Don’t remind me. I really don’t want to be someone’s lunch."
— Devoid, Alex & Johannah commenting on the smell of Hell.
"I know you… You’re that captain. Mind you, you’re too cute to cause trouble. How about I give you a drink and let bygones be bygones?"
"Don't touch my face like that."
"Why shouldn’t I?"
— Valentino & Breezie talking before the latter bites the former.
"J-just fuck ‘em up!"
— Sally SIllington's first order upon getting back to the ship
"I guess we're going for a bloodbath then!"
"Vox must've put chips in their brains to control them. He's doing this like a video game!"
"Then if that's the case, time to tell him it's game over! EVERYONE, FIRE!"
— Andy, Vaggie & Breezie as Vox's employees begin to attack.
"You will not get your mercy. We broadcast to show your pitifulness, and that darkness cannot live."
— Johannah, The Lamb of WILL, confronting Valentino.
