Drozana Station was a space station in the Beta Quadrant, near the Federation-Klingon border in the Donatu Sector. Originally built by the Federation in the 23rd century, the station changed hands several times during border disputes, eventually winding up under the control of the Ferengi in the early 25th century, wherein it served as a neutral trading post with a seedy reputation. (Star Trek Online)
History[]
Drozana Station was originally built by Starfleet some time prior to 2265. In that year it was considered a state-of-the art Federation outpost. It was attacked by Devidians who'd traveled back in time from 2409. They fed on the station's personnel, who were poorly equipped to combat them, and attempted to use the triolic energy of a passing comet to shift the entire sector into their realm. They were thwarted by an intelligence operative who traveled back from 2409 with an away team, then returned with a starship disguised as a Klingon D7 class battlecruiser to destroy the comet. (Star Trek Online: "Everything Old is New", "Night of the Comet")
Over the subsequent decades, the station changed hands between the Klingons and the Federation due to border disputes in the area. By the mid-24th century it had fallen into disrepair and was sorely in need of upgrades and refits. (Star Trek Online: The Path to 2409)
Eventually the station was abandoned by the major powers and taken over by independent and unscrupulous traders. By 2390 the station was run by a group of Ferengi merchants, at least one of whom owned and traded Orion slave girls. The daughter of one such slave girl, Nita, spent the first five years of her life growing up on the station. (Star Trek Online: Valkyries: "Becoming Klingon")
By 2409 the station had become a hub for the trade of stolen merchandise and served as a neutral meeting place for Klingons and members of Starfleet during the Klingon-Federation War. (Star Trek Online: "Spin the Wheel")
In 2410, both Sigon and Deloss investigated the strange numbing behaviour by everyone at the station during Klingon Fleet Week, when crew, including their own, took time off. They then found more Devidians, led by Stuart, sucking the life out of people, prompting the two Captains to rev up the party as a means to drive the Devidians away.
