Edouard Montpetit College (French: Collège Édouard-Montpetit) is a 20th century college located in Longueuil, Canada, used as a Romulan holodeck setting. (RIS Bouteina: "We're All In This Together")

Prior to defeating Laval University in the Longueuil Cup Final in 2291, the Lynx defeated the Tufts University Jumbos in the Longueuil Cup semifinals and the University of Tampere Atalpas earlier in the tournament. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Super-Jupiter Beacon")

It was one of the finalists of the 2291 Longueuil Cup, winning it by a narrow margin over Laval University on the latter school's home field, the PEPS. (RIS Bouteina: "Eidolon", Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Alcoholic Massacre, Part II")

It also was a signatory of the New York Convention. (RIS Bouteina: "New York Convention")

Alongside the University of Montreal, Concordia University, Laval University as well as a number of Quebec CEGEPs and universities, the students of Edouard Montpetit College went on strike in 2012 to protest a tuition hike enacted by Jean Charest, with their union, the AGECEM. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Rode the 300")

EMC won its semifinal bracket against Tufts University and won an early-round game against University of Tampere. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Super-Jupiter Beacon")

Background[]

Edouard Montpetit College is the college-level alma mater of the RIS Bouteina series' author, Yvan Ung. Due to the subtleties of Quebecer education, college education is taken prior to university education. The holodeck program was deliberately chosen to be set after the author's graduation from that college so much as to minimize self-insertion.

It was also one of the hardest hit colleges from the 2012 Quebec student strike in actuality, going on strike for nearly six months.
