Doctor Eric Miles was a 23rd century Starfleet medical officer.
In the 2260s, Miles served as chief medical officer aboard the strike cruiser USS Antyllus under Captain Holt Allen. (Starship Antyllus)
Before serving on the Antyllus together, Miles was already good friends with Holt Allen and helped Allen through a personal loss. Allen told him that when he got his first command, he wanted Miles there with him. Miles accepted. ("Together Alone")
