"Fantasy Planet" is the first episode of The Unreliable's Light's Second Year. It consists of Chapters 21-27 of the original story and is also a crossover with Monster Hunter.
Summary[]
An unknown pre-warp class M planet has been found with a lot of unknown lifeforms and Breezie is curious, leading to journey down to find out just what's there... Only to find out that they weren't the first to find the planet.
Trivia[]
- This episode was made because Fateweaver is a big fan of Monster Hunter.
- This was not 0Devoid's first attempt at being a part of a Monster Hunter story, but it is the only one to get finished.
- Breezie's look here (the orange jacket and black gloves) was inspired by Fate's look for the captain, just slightly different.
- The USS Kolkata was named for the indian city of the same name.
- It was decided that the Kolkata would be a Gajalakan settlement as those would be the only monsters who could fit in the corridors.
Memorable Quotes[]
- "Mediaeval village? Mysterious lifeforms? You sure we haven't landed on Planet Storybook?"
- — The EMH (assuming where they are)
- "It should be leaving. I can smell salt too, we must be near the coast."
- "Really? Are you part canine?"
- "Oh no, a hedgehog like me knows how to trust his nose."
- — Devoid & Alex (on finding the coast)
