As per Talk:Starfleet ranks (2366-2373 service uniform), please let your opinions be known on the discussion started there. --Kevin W. AdmTlk 00:53, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Including the right (actually, left) collar does make for a cleaner look, even if it doesn't add anything to the lower ranks. I actually like the way it turned out. --JusticeCEO 01:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
And like I said on the talk page, I'm not advocating removal, just wondering aloud why it was important to have them. It looks fine on the rank pages. Might be a bit much to include both in sidebars, though (if anything was thinking of doing that). --TimPendragon 01:56, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
a possible solution could be to unite the left and right images in some fashion -- so that each rank would only contain one image -- Captain M.K.B. 02:12, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Something that in most cases, I believe, would be unnecessary. Most left collars are blank, and for those that aren't (flag ranks, Remington ranks, etc), they are usually just a duplicate of the right side, and most people know those ranks (at least the flag ranks) would be on both sides. The only exception I can think of is if there is a unit insignia or something of that type that goes on the left side (like the Red Squad pin from "Valiant"). But by and large, including both sides of the collar in a character page's sidebar would be redundant and unnecessary. --TimPendragon 03:42, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I would agree with that. Mainly because the sidebars are not wide enough to take both images and it wouldn't look very good. --JusticeCEO 11:57, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I've removed the extra images. --Kevin W. AdmTlk 14:17, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
