Georgetown University (Lyran classification: research university) is a university located in Washington DC, on Earth. It was famous for its law school, as well as geopolitics (and later, astropolitics) but it also possessed a medical school.

Irina Gordon attended Georgetown, earning a graduate degree in diplomatic psychology. She later was part of the faculty there. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Irina")

Georgetown University offered a Doctor of Audiology program in 2366, while it didn't offer one in the early 21st century. Single-choice early action applicants to the AuD program enjoyed a 3% boost to their acceptance rate. (Star Trek: The Stoneship Files: "Express Delivery")

In 2412, Oliver Tavington, the British signatory of the 0L Pledge for European Law School Transparency, attended Georgetown University for law school. Also, during the 2410s, Georgetown, along with Yale, Harvard, UChicago and Columbia, was among the top-5 law schools in the US, according to Above the Law. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Pledge of the Protester")

The admission standards of Georgetown Law Center as depicted in Pledge of the Protester are rather different from contemporary admissions standards at the time of writing. Georgetown Law Center admissions standards in that particular episode would be more akin to contemporary Harvard Law standards than contemporary GULC standards.
