Gewdeque was a Starfleet Engineer and human, of French-Canadian descent, aboard the USS Phoenix-X in the late 24th century. She was Kugo's first in command in Engineering until taking over as Chief engineer in 2391. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X, The Unreliable's Light)

History[]

In 2374, she recognized that the Phoenix-X's transwarp systems had been activated abnormally when the ship began automating its conduit subspace field and tachyons to a resonant frequency twenty times normal. Later, when the ship was stranded and Kugo kidnapped on Professor Gast's planet, she advocated for Kugo due to her encryption codes and ship familliarity. ("Crash Bandits")

In 2375, when the Starfleet and Klingon sides of the crew began to divide socially, she was instrumental in standing up against it and uniting the crew. ("Factors of Humanity")

In 2376, when the Phoenix-X was temporarily mothballed, Gewdeque was transferred to the USS Bautista. ("Experimentalism")

In 2393, Gewdeque was instrumental in securing chroniton reserves, repairing damage and doubling structural integrity on the Phoenix-X during the interdimensional conflict against the Hiss. In a momententary lapse of self-confidence, in which she compared herself to Kugo, Night Seifer reassured her she had previously proved herself ten-fold. ("Convergencies") During said conflict, she and Alex Brine had a talk about the legacy of ships named Enterprise. ("1701-Back From The Dead")
