The Grigari are a highly-advanced technological civilization from the deep Beta Quadrant, whose territory spills into the Delta Quadrant. They were experts in the fields of nanotechnology and cybernetics, and developed advanced medical techniques from these disciplines. Despite the great distance from the Grigari core systems, they were known to trade with Alpha Quadrant powers. (ST novel: Federation; DS9 novel: War of the Prophets)
