"Guinea Pigs" was the fifteenth episode in the first season of Star Trek: Phoenix-X.
Summary[]
The Captain takes Vector 3, alone, into Breen space to retrieve a Trill multi-spacial shielding prototype. Things are turned around when the Commander and the Doctor join him and find a dying symbiont at the tech site. A decision is made quickly, forcing the Doctor to join the symbiont with the Night host temporarily until they can get it to safety.
Memorable quotes[]
- "I wanted to let you know that I don't know everything anymore."
"That's a relief. Do you really think that there are beings out there that know everything and have the power to control us?"
"You mean use us like guinea pigs? Nah." - — Gotens and Daniel
Background information[]
- In the cut scenes, Lieutenant Commander Data was to accompany Daniel to Breen space - but that addition was abandoned in the final draft. Data would later take part in the long-form episode "Afterdeath".
