Hawaii is a group of island located in the Pacific Ocean on Earth. It was a state of the United States of America.
The islands were first mapped by Europeans during the 18th century when the islands were "discovered" by Captain James Cook.
In 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, which directly led to the USA's entry into World War II. (TNG: "The Enemy"; DS9: "Far Beyond The Stars")
