Hogwarts is the seventh planet of the Gamma Germanicus system. It is also the first member planet of the United Federation of Planets that is not located in the Alpha or Beta Quadrants of the Milky Way Galaxy. (Harry Potter and the Return of James T. Kirk)
Hogwarts is a prime example of Hodgkin's Law of Parallel Planetary Development. As such, it is similar to Earth in every possible way. The primary exception is the educational institution Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, from which the planet took its name within the Federation.
