Huan is the central planet of the Huan Republic, which as a whole, also includes other dependent territories and colonies.
The Huanni joined the Federation in 2294. The accession ceremony was attended by the Federation President in person, shortly after his involvement in the Titan Incident. (Star Trek: Valkyrie: "A Problem of Titan Proportions")
- In the recording script of "A Problem of Titan Proportions", the building where the ceremony took place was called the Hall of Light.
